Sharing Transformation Experience
Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Open Ukraine Foundation together with International Renaissance Foundation initiated a joint project “Sharing Transformation Experience” in 2011.
Our goal is to improve knowledge and understanding in Ukraine about processes and tendencies taking place in the neighboring countries. We plan to study the experience of post-communist and democratic transformations: democratization processes, formation of market economy, state and nation building. Within the scope of project we are going to devote attention to the countries of post-Soviet space, Central-Eastern Europe, Western Balkan and Turkey.
It is planned to hold six thematic podium discussions during 2011. Foreign experts will prepare analytic papers for each of these discussions. We expected that the participants of the event will be representatives of Ukrainian public authority, experts and academics as well as representatives of all-Ukrainian and regional media.
