Translation workshop for Ukranian-German interpreters in Lviv
Translation workshop for interpreters from Germany took place on third of June, 2009 in Lviv under the support of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation «Open Ukraine». The workshop was organized within the project “Training on deepening young interpreters’ competence in Ukranian-German translations”.
The goal of the workshop was to develop the skills of the interpreters while in the German speaking world (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) there are only four Ukrainian-German interpreters.
Interpreters were working in the Ukrainian-German tandem under the direction of the individual mentor.
The object of the translation during the project is the collection of stories «Kvitoslava» by Otar Dovzhenko, which will be published «Zuika» and presented at the book fair in Leipzig in 2010.
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation «Open Ukraine» supports this project within the it’s program «Book fund».
